About Ashley Northam

I have been practicing speech language pathology in a number of areas for quite a few years. I have a wide range of interests working with both adults and pediatric populations in the areas of Autism, accent reduction, language-based learning disabilities, literacy, Auditory Processing Disorder, articulation disorders (the dreaded R, S, L!), Apraxia, as well as experience working with adults who are non-verbal and require high or low tech Augmentative and Alternative Communication systems.

My approach to therapy is more of a "whole person" approach, with integration of family and other supports to work together for the person's best interest and ultimate progress and growth. I believe gains are made in therapy when there is a relationship built between the client, family and therapist.
